Exploring Hawaii's beaches, I found this secluded cove on the Big Island, drawn to Kona's varied landscapes. Standing in the shifting shoreline, I positioned my tripod in the surf, awaiting the sun's descent behind the cliffs. The cliffs cast an unanticipated golden light on the dark rocks, a fleeting moment captured in this long exposure.
