The StarTech.com hard drive bundle includes two complementary products to help manage your storage needs. The first component is a standalone hard drive eraser that can securely wipe 2.5"/3.5" SATA HDD/SSDs of any capacity. It features 9 erase modes, meets NIST SP 800-88 Rev 1 standards, and works independently without a host computer using the included power adapter. The second component is an M.2 SATA SSD to 2.5" SATA adapter. By adding a speedy M.2 SATA SSD to a 2.5" drive bay, you can increase system performance with transfer speeds up to 6 Gbps. The open-frame design enables maximum heat dissipation to protect drive health. Together, these products enable securely erasing drives for reuse while also providing a way to upgrade older systems with faster M.2 SSD storage.
