The classic macro shape and photomicrography is through the bellows unit. The BAL-NEX automatic bellows unit was specially developed for use with Sony E-Mount mirrorless lenses and cameras, and transfers all functions between the camera and the lens. Even matching lenses can be worn in a reverse position on the bellows unit using an optional reduction ring.

- Full communication functions between camera and lens including autofocus and aperture adjustments.
- Using standard and wide-angle lenses up to 35mm, you can achieve magnifications from 1:1 up to 7:1
- Use a telephoto lens for a greater working distance. Add a second focusing rack to change focus without the need to adjust the bellows extension
- Precision geared extension rail for smooth and precise adjustments of magnification and focus. Min. Extension: 29mm / 1 1/8 in. Max. Extension: 116mm/4.56 in.
